CHOOSE YOUR REGION

Five regions.
Very different walks.

Annapurna has the widest choice of routes. Langtang starts closest to Kathmandu. Manaslu and Kanchenjunga are longer and more remote. Pick a region to see its routes, or tell me what you have in mind.

BEYOND THE TRAIL

Not every day
has to be a trek.

If you’d rather not trek, or want a few slower days around one, you can stay in a Himalayan village instead. Same planning, same guide.

HOMESTAY AND TREK

“This is the real life of the Sherpas, without the tourist gloss and deception. … If you’re looking for the real Nepal and want to experience the strength and beauty of the local people, contact Sajan!”

YOUR GUIDE

You’ll write to me.
You’ll walk with me.

Land of Himalaya is just me, Sajan Sherpa. There’s no office and no handoff. I plan the route around you, and I’m beside you from the first walking day to the last.

01

One person

I run Land of Himalaya from Kathmandu. Every message you send comes to me.

02

No handoff

Nobody else picks up your plan halfway. The person who shapes it is the person who guides it.

03

On the trail

I lead every trek myself, from the first walking day to the last.

HOW I PLAN

Room to explore.
Time to take it in.

I start with you: how much time you have, what you’ve walked before, and what you want to see. The route comes after that.

01

A route that fits

I match the region and the daily distances to your experience.

02

Time to acclimatise

I build in time to adjust to altitude, and room to change plans when mountain conditions call for it.

03

Everything agreed first

The itinerary, logistics, what’s included and the price are confirmed before you book.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Questions people
ask first.

Which region is right for me?

It depends on your time, your trekking experience and what you want to see. Annapurna has the broadest choice of routes, Langtang is close to Kathmandu, and the remote regions need more days. Tell me what you have in mind and I’ll suggest a starting point.

I’ve never done a multi-day trek. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Ghorepani & Poon Hill in Annapurna is a good first trek, and Langtang starts close to Kathmandu. Tell me what walking you’ve done so far and I’ll suggest a route that matches it.

Can I come without trekking?

Yes. You can stay with my family in the village and do short hikes from there, or spend your days on a hill farm. Both also work as a few slower days before or after a trek.

Can you tailor the itinerary?

Yes. Every trek is planned for you. Send me your dates, group size, experience and the region you’re interested in, and we’ll shape the route from there.

What happens if weather or altitude changes the plan?

I build room for that into the itinerary from the start. On the trail we decide together, whether that means a rest day, a slower pace or turning back early. I’m there with you, so you never make that call alone.
